Mountain Man has been making exceptional hand-crafted jewelry for over 30 years. Joe Tourigny and son, Meshach create unique designs that are meticulously carved with a jeweler’s saw from old silver coins. Plain silver coins are transformed into works of art like snowflakes, trees of life and countless other designs. These beautiful pieces have become treasured keepsakes to be handed down for generations.
Over the past 10 years, this family business has grown to include a new headquarters in their home-town of Chester, Vermont. This location is open every year from the Spring season through Christmas. The familiar Mountain Man kiosk can still be found in the Diamond Run Mall in Rutland, Vermont for the Christmas season.
The Mountain Man Marketplace in Chester not only has jewelry, but also provides an outdoor shopping and dining experience you can’t find anywhere else. Come and enjoy Vermont’s best lobster rolls, angus burgers, and other delicious grilled items at Shack’s Grill. Try the out-of-this-world maple soft-serve made with pure and local Vermont maple syrup along with a great selection of other delicious frozen treats from the Mountain Freeze. Here you will also find a variety of unique items including hand-made tie-dyed shirts, more maple products, books, antiques and more!
